Today was Sophia's last day of school so they put together an end of year program for all of the parents. The theme was 'Going To The Zoo.' Before dropping her off, we went to get a snack to bring (zoo animal crackers) for the party after and also some flowers for her teachers, Mrs. Kris & Mrs. Laurie. Sophia wanted flowers too, so she picked out her own - pink of course! To match her pink dress (that she has had picked out and hung up on her closet door for 2 weeks!).
Each child was a different zoo animal and they made hats with each animal on them to wear for the program. Sophia was a kangaroo. Over the past few weeks Sophia has been singing parts of songs that I hadn't heard before, so I knew she was learning some new ones at school. But when it came time for the program, she was like a deer (or Kangaroo) in headlights and didn't do much singing. She would snap out of her gaze when she saw me or Clara - and even stood up to wave at Clara once and had to be told to sit down by her teachers ;-)
We have been so pleased with Sophia's preschool - she absolutely loves it! After taking the summer off, she will be back there in the fall for the 4 year old program.
