Family Fun Week

We have been going back and forth for months on if we can or if we are going to do anything for Spring Break.  We determined that Ron wasn't going to take off much time from work so we would just head to Dubuquue for an extended weekend - we were headed there anyway to celebrate my Mom's 60th birthday.  But he came home from work last Friday and surprised me by saying that he took the whole week off!  Woo hoo!!! 

On Tuesday after Christian's track practice we all went to Brookfield Zoo.  I go with the girls, but we have never been together as a whole family.  We had lots of fun at the dolphin show and seeing all of the other animals. 

Then Wednesday we headed up to the Dells to the Kalahari Resort water park for the day.  It was so much fun - a blast for everyone.  Christian had fun tormenting the girls in a different way - by splashing them.  And the girls LOVED going down all of the water slides - big and small.  No matter how many times Clara bonked her head on the way down or went under the water at the end of the slide, she always came up with her signature huge smile on her face.  We had inner tube wars down the lazy river and bobbed up and down in the wave pool.  It was VERY hard to get the girls to leave - good thing we had Grammy & Poppy's house to use as a bribe to get em out of the pool!

After four hours of playing in the water, all the kids slept all the way to Grammy & Poppy's house :-)
