Yep - it's broken! Sophia got a real cast on today - real pink, that is! Yes, she picked the color out all on her own! This is much better than the full leg thing she had on from the ER though. She is sporting her new tennis shoe (that she calls "my running shoes - just like Mommy's and Daddy's") per Doctor's orders so that she can start to walk on the cast and not be totally lopsided from the height difference. She has her good moments and her bad ones. The mornings are a little rough with her and also when the tylenol starts to ware off. Poor little peanut.
She screamed her head off the whole time I gave her a bath tonight :-( But she's a tough little girl and will do almost anything for a Dora lollipop ;-) She isn't walking on it yet, but she is standing (that takes bribery), butt scooting on the floor and even crawling (Jackie said she crawled at daycare today but Sophia denied it. I caught her doing it tonight when she thought I wasn't watching ;-) So she'll get there - little by little.
Good news is no surgery and no physical therapy after the cast comes off on July 28 (just in time for your wedding, Rachel & Chris!). Thanks to everyone for all of the phone calls and well wishes. Thanks to Leah & Gracie for the visit yesterday and all of the wonderful cheer me up gifts too. She has placed bandaids on pretty much everything in sight ;-)
There's not much room on that tiny little cast, so come soon to get a spot for your John Hancock on it!
