I was at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas for a show all last week and somehow got in the Christmas spirit. I know...all before Thanksgiving but with a 50' tree, over 1.2 million holiday lights, a life size gingerbread house and nearly 2 million pounds of ice carved into scenes from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," who wouldn't be? My friend Jen (from Semester at Sea) drove up from Austin to stay the night on Thursday and then I stayed with my friend Beth in Dallas on Friday. It was so nice to see friends after a long week of work. And it sure was wonderful to get home to my wonderful husband and kids :)
Jen and Ellen - almost 11 years after meeting in the Bahamas before boarding the SS Universe Explorer to sail around the world!
