The yearly Memorial Day weekend task of getting the lake house ready for the summer. When we arrived, every one was already hard at work. The pier was in, the boat was on its way and the gazebo was getting a face lift - well, some cosmetic changes anyway. Apparently Susie said "Should we tear it down or paint it?" The response was to "paint it!" So as Ron so eloquently put it, we spent the afternoon putting a tuxedo on a turd. Even though Ellen couldn't do much with the paint and all (she baked cookies and made food for the hard workers), we had a great time spending the day with everyone. She did go for a couple boat rides though - have to get this kid used the water right off the bat!
