First phew...Christian's team ended up with their third and much deserved win of the season last Thursday. They beat the best team in the league in extra innings. It was a very exciting game...to say the least!
The second phew...Christian was up to bat and hit a very hard line drive foul over the 1st base fence into the bleachers. And not just at anyone in the bleachers - right at Ellen's very large baby tummy! It wouldn't have been more of a dead on shot if someone was standing in front of her pointe blank throwing it! Thank goodness Ron had recently gotten up off the bleachers and was standing on her left side because he caught the ball bare handed, not knowing how crucial his reflexes were. We told him that that was one way to try to induce labor :) Ellen's heart rate was probably the highest it's ever been. Both kids were beating up on her that night - one hitting balls at her and the other one kicking her. Christian has fun poking at the baby and watching it kick back at him, but we told him that it's a little too young yet to play catch! Good thing they won the game...and Ron was standing where he was! Double phew...always excitement in the Baker house :)
